We are in the heart of the Modernist Route, some of the more important Gaudi's buildings are just around the corner.

ABOUT OUR STUDENTS IN SUMMER : During the youth summer programs many of our students are teenagers who participate in our supervised Summer Hometay Programs in Barcelona as individuals. Those junior or teens who are in Barcelona on vacation with their parents/tutors can also participate in our youth programs joining our groups of students according to ther age and sport or level of Spanish thruogh a DAY or HALF DAY SUMMER PROGRAM (no accommodation).
Most of our students in July are from United States (around 70%), from Canada and from different countries in Europe (around 25%) . Some other are from different parts of the world and they are attending the homestay programs or they are on vacation in Barcelona with their family/friends.
Dates and content of the summer programs and schedule can be customized for groups or families.

SUPERVISED SUMMER PROGRAM FOR JUNIOR AND TEENS All our SpainBcn-Summer Programs for Teens are supervised, good medical care is available, and students live with families who take responsibility for the teens. However, teen participants must be mature and serious in purpose.
The group of SpainBcn students is accompanied by SpainBcn coordinators or Spanish teachers during all the activities included in the program.
In Summer, the program's curfew for those students under 18 is at 11:00 pm. Participants have to respect the program's curfew and also the family rules.
Those parents or tutors who want to give permission to their children to go ut at night (without teachers, coordinators or the host families) must send us a formal authorization reliving the school, the program and the family of any responsabilities.
.In these cases, also, it may happen that some of the host families may prefer to have a student that do not go out during the night as the children of the family may not have permission to go out at night yet. The host family may request that we move the student. We will then need to move the student to a different host family without young children.

ABOUT THE HOMESTAY ACCOMMODATION IN BARCELONA Students live with nice, warm and carefully selected Spanish host families that collaborate with our school taking care of the program's participants. Students may choose to be placed alone in the host family or together with 1 or 2 other/s participant/s of our programs. When placing the students with the host families we try to match as mush as possible the students requests.
Inform us about your preferences and requests when filling out the "Host Family Questionnary" that will be sent by e-mail
when you enroll in the program.
The host families have children of similar ages who will be also attending our Sport Camps together with our students.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM'S MEALS: Breakfast and dinner are with the host family (or at the students' residence for those groups that selected this type of accommodation). Lunch from Monday through Thursday is at SpainBcn School for students younger than 14. According to our experience, older participants prefer to have free time after class to have lunch outside SpainBcn School (lunch is at student's own cost) . The school is located in the very center of Barcelona, in a nice and residential area with lots of restaurants, shops, etc. There are many places with all types of foods and for all budgets just few minutes walking distance from our place. We are in the most tourist part of the city so there are many options to choose from. A complete menu will cost around 9 euros and more simple meals can be around 5 or 6 euros.
Students have to stay in the school area and be back at school at 3:30 pm. (or any time earlier) to join the afternoon programs.
The school prepares lunch- picnic (big sandwich, fruit and drink) for all students on Fridays (beach day) and Saturdays.

ABOUT THE CULTURAL PROGRAM: on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday, the students group and the teachers and cordinators go to the beach. Free afternoon on Friday afternoon for those older than 16 who already know the city is optional.
On Saturdays there are excursion days to visit others interesting locations nearby Barcelona.
