Younger participants (12 and 13 years) can not be placed alone with the host family and they hcve to be placed in the same host family together with an older brother/sister or friend. There are tennis players with with all levels of Tennis and with all levels of Spanish.

ABOUT THE TENNIS CAMP:
Nice Tennis Club in Barcelona, 15 minutes distance from our school, (from door to door) with professional Tennis coaches and more than 20 courts. The Tennis programs (co/ed) are open to players of all levels and experience.
Most of our participants play Tennis regularly through the year, even though there are some who are beginners and also some who play at high level. They all will be placed with the right group and coach the first day at the camp.
At the Tennis Camp, players are placed the first day with the right group of players according to their age, level and experience in Tennis. New players that will be arriving in following weeks will join each Monday (the first day at the camp) the groups of players that better match their level.

ABOUT THE SPANISH CLASSES:
Nice and big school in a very centric location. All levels of Spanish eventhough most of our teen participants have some previous knowledge of Spanish. At the SpainBcn-Spanish School, the first day of their classes, students are placed with the right class/group according to their level of Spanish. New students joining the program in following weeks will be placed with the right group/class the first day at school according to their level of Spanish.

ABOUT HOST FAMILY ACCOMMODATION:
Carefully selected Spanish host family accommodation. Daily breakfast and dinner with the host family.
1 or 2 laundries per week. Lunch is in the school area at students' own cost (we suggest 9 or 10 euros per day).
Students living with our host families have a curfew that must be respected.
Acoording to your preferences students can be placed alone or with 1 or 2 more students at the same host family accommodation. We always try to place the students with a family with children and according to the student's preferences.
The sons and daughters of similar age also attend the sport camps together with our student/s.

ABOUT PROGRAM WITHOUT ACCOMMODATION:
* Those who are staying in Barcelona with their own family/parents can also attend the program and the cost of the host family accommodation will be deducted from the program cost. * For groups, programs can be customized.

ABOUT CLOTHES TO BRING :
July is very warm in Barcelona, students should only bring summer clothes. Casual wear: in June and July temperature can be between 24º and 29º Celsius (68 and 78 Farenheit), hot during the day and also warm during the night.
Remember to bring the swimming suit, towel and sunscream for the beach days.
The host families provide the student/s with any towels, sheets and pilows needed.
It's not necessary to bring any first aid medicine (except in the case the student needs anything special).
If you have a question regarding to bring any special item, please ask us. For the Tennis Camp players need to bring their tennis raquet and their tennis shoes and socks. If you do not bring your raquet you will use one from the camp.

UPON ARRIVAL AT THE BARCELONA AIRPORT...
There is only one exit door from the international flights arrival concourse and the door leads directly to the reception area. In the reception area there will be a SpainBCN representative with a big sign with the SpainBCN logo and the student's name. We are in constant communication with airline flight arrival information. In case the flight arrives earlier or later than the scheduled arrival time we will be there when the plane arrives at Barcelona. In the rare case when a student may miss a connection enroute to Barcelona, the person from SpainBcn-Programs that is waiting for you will make sure to be there, at the airport, when the student arrives.  Stay near the entrance of the reception area until the SpainBcn representative arrives.  The SpainBcn representative that meets the student at the airport will drive the student to the host family accommodation and introduce the student to the family. That first day the students also receive maps and directions and other information they need: phone numbers and addresses the host family and of other students/friends also in Barcelona.

HOW TO GO TO THE SCHOOL OR TO THE CAMP THE FIRST DAYS:
The first day of program the host family accompanies the student to the school or to the meeting point with the SpainBcn coordintors or one of our school's coordinators will pick up the student at the host family accommodation.
Many of our host families live in the same area of the school between 5 to 20 minutes walking distance from the school. After the first days of being accompaniend in the morning and in the afternno to return to the host family, older students can walk back to the host family without the supervisors. Students younger than 14 are accompanied during all the program.
This is also the central area of the city, with wide sidewalks and lots of shops.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM CURFEW:
This is a supervised program for teenager students. Curfews will be strictly enforced. Students under 18 are not allowed to be away from their host family home overnight (after 11,30) and curfews will be strictly enforced.
** Those parents or guardians who want to permit their children to go out after the curfew have to send to the school a formal permission slip.
NOTE: A student bad behaviour may then result in the school contacting the parent or guardian to inform them that the parents/guardians must speak with their child directly.

ABOUT PHONE CALLS:
Participants are normally not permitted to make long-distance phone calls directly from their host family's phone. They have to use a phone card to make those calls. However students' parents may call the participants at the accommodation at specific times. It is also customary to keep calls brief. Student can use any public or private phones with the pre-paid cards
(which are very cheap and available in many stores in the city). Students can also receive calls at SpainBcn school and make international phone calls from the school's phone using the pre-paid cards.

ABOUT POCKET/SPENDING MONEY

We suggest to bring a minimum of 90 euros per week for lunch or minor expenses (more or less, 10 euros per day).
Students can use their credit cards (Visa, MasterCard) or debit cards in most (or all) places.

DO I NEED A MEDiCAL INSURANCE?:
Those students who are from the European Union won't need any special medical insurance as it will work the same that works in their countries. Those participants from a non European Union country will have to have insurance that covers them while traveling in Europe in case they want to reduce any possible expenses from any medical assistence they may need while in Spain. So, in that case, a travel insurance is an essential purchase on any overseas trip.
